So what now?
As you move through the home improvement journey, you can refer back to the stages below and the additional information to help guide you. At Brighte we believe in empowering customers to make informed choices. The below information has been provided to assist you with the application and settlement of the Brighte Green or Personal Loan.
- You have submitted your application:
You are already on your way! If you meet Brighte's lending criteria you will be notified shortly of the outcome of your application. Alternatively, Brighte may be waiting on you to provide some additional documentation, this could include bank statements or payslips. You will receive an outcome typically within 1-2 business days after your application submission, provided Brighte has all the information required.
2. You have accepted your Brighte Green Loan or Personal Loan
Congratulations, you have accepted. Your offer includes information detailing:
- your loan amount
- annual percentage rate
- total interest payable
- total minimum amount payable
- number of fortnightly payments
- first repayment date
- fortnightly payment amount
With your finance sorted the real fun begins!
3. Organising Installation
Once you have accepted the quote, Brighte notifies the vendor that you are happy to proceed. The vendor will then contact you to arrange the installation date and time.
For solar purchases, your vendor may have also informed you that you require a meter upgrade to a smart meter. A smart meter is capable of calculating the energy you export and import from the grid, informing your electricity bill. If your vendor hasn't mentioned a meter upgrade, Brighte's suggests you enquire when organising your installation date. If you require a meter upgrade, it would be ideal to have the installation and meter connection completed in a close time range.
4. Installation has occurred and payment of vendor
Once the installation has occurred, the following steps take place:
- The vendor informs Brighte that the solar system has been installed and requests full payment
Please note your chosen vendor has completed their work by installing the solar system. The connection to the grid is your responsibility.
5. Commencement of repayments
After 28 days of your system being installed, the first payment of the Brighte Green Loan will be deducted from your nominated bank account. If you would like to line up your repayments with your pay cycle or other household bills, then you can adjust your repayment date up to 14 days earlier or later. Please call 1300 BRIGHTE to adjust your repayment schedule. If you don't request any changes, your repayments will continue on a fortnightly basis.
