Step 1: Receive an offer: If you are selected to participate in the Pilot, you will receive an offer by email to join the Pilot. Please read and accept the terms and conditions to accept your place in the Pilot. For rented properties, both the tenant and the landlord will need to accept Terms and Conditions.
Step 2: Select Approved Vendors and Appliances: Once you have accepted the terms and conditions, you will receive an email from Brighte, where you’ll first complete a short set of intake questions. After that, you can choose from a pool of vendors to request quotes for your appliances.
3: Get your quotes: Your chosen Vendor(s) will contact you to conduct in-person or remote property assessments and develop a proposal for each chosen Appliance based on requirements. Quotes will include all applicable federal and state subsidies.
Step 4: Accept your quotes and complete subsidy application: You accept your preferred quotes and choose your preferred payment option (details can be found in the Payment and Finance section). Households that select the Brighte Green Loan financing option, will undergo a separate finance assessment process. Refer to Brighte’s website for more information: https://brighte.com.au/homeowners/green-loan.
Please note, you will need to wait for Brighte's approval of your pilot subsidies and/or finance before proceeding.
Step 5: Appliances installed : Your chosen Vendor(s) will install your new electric Appliance(s) and program your Smart Energy Device. Brighte will confirm you are comfortable with the installation of your appliances and the services provided by the vendors.
Step 6: Make payment : If you have selected the cash option, the vendor will invoice you to pay for the installation minus any subsidies agreed. If you have selected the finance option, Brighte will have provided you with a repayment plan based on your loan selection.
Step 7: Participate in Research: Rewiring Australia will request your feedback on the installation and collect Pilot Data. This critical research will help guide the acceleration of Australia's transition to a smart electric future and shape policies and practices nationwide. Once a Participant has removed all gas appliances, the choice to remove the gas connection from the property will be at the household’s own
discretion and cost.
